Friends

I have a visit with a friend today. Wan't planned, she just need to pick something up. It was a nice visit but it made me think of this poem

Are Your Friends Here for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?

Anonymous

Many of us are fortunate enough to have friends who are a consistent part of our lives throughout all our ups and downs. However, sometimes others we consider friends appear to enter, then depart from our lives for reasons we try to, but don't always, understand. This piece nicely explains the flow of people in and out of our lives.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

Then people come into your life for a SEASON, b ecause your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

Some days I feel lonely and thing about friends that I have had in the past and why or relations ships have changed an my part in it.

I have been on facebook for a while now. Can't even tell you when it started but it has been maybe 8 months or so. I have about eighty friends but lately I find myself connecting with childhood friends or what I find even stranger is the children of childhood friends or old friends. One of these days I will have to invite thier mom's to coffee. Alas, they are not on facebook.

Wow, it has been a while.

What do they say about life getting in the way. It seems to have happened again. I had hoped to post some of my work here and it has not happened yet.

I think the biggest reason is that we decided to re-do my craft room. I mean really re-do. Knock a wall out and all. We pulled everything out of the room except for the carpet and knocked down the wall between the laundry room and the craft room. I now have a larger craft room and a smaller laundry room and would be believe it was all my hubby's idea. He had to approach me twice with the idea before I went for it.

I am going to see if I can find some photos to add to this post so that you can see what it looks like in progress. I don't have any finished photos because it is still a little messy in here.

In my attemps to put everything back in place I decided that it was time to tackle all the photos in here. I had gone to the LSS and taken a class on organizing your photos. I have to admit it was nothing new, I had heard all the ideas before but I had never done anything with them. This time I did. Big time. There are still a few little strays here and there but that is about it. Of course now that they are neat and organized and easy to grab to scrapbook any photo I want, I have no desire to go near a photo. I did do some swap cards tonight.

Well I guess that is it for now. Hopefully I get some stuff done now and start posting more regularly
